Sam and his mother lived in a country side. Sam was around 13 years old. He wanted to study but his financial conditions forced him to work to earn living for himself and his old mother. Recognizing the Heroes Among Us

I recently attended a church service where the local police, firefighters, & paramedics had been invited. The speaker was a police officer who had written a book which was on sale after the service.

I went to the sales table & paid for two books, asking that they be given anonymously to two of the visiting officers. It wasn't much, but it was something for those who daily risk their lives for the community.
